Actually, the two-disc set in Sony's ESSENTIAL series that came out 
last year has very good sound and perfectly acceptable song selection.

When is someone going to, finally, decently remaster a 2-CD disc (or 
box set for that matter) of The Best of Sly & The Family Stone?... 
Beneath the soul & funk lie some pretty decent pop-rock beats IMHO... 
Rhino? Jaimie? Someone?... It's time to re-discover this band that was 
marred mostly due to Sly's record ot erratical concert appearances or 
lack of them but whom still, I believe, deserve their place in 
pop-rock history...
