This is an interesting article.
But my first reaction when I saw the email title was someone actually
mentioning my long-ago pop/punk/dub band, The Scientific Americans (see:
http://www.friend.ly.net/~dadadata/n_the/sci/sciams.html ). Add to that we
were heavily influenced by the later works of P. K. Dick, including Valis
(your nom de email), and I thought I was entering another instant of
synchronicity......
