I'll second that emotion! The Bergen White disc is brilliant!! Rev-Ola
has been just smoking with this re-release, Chuck & Mary Perrin and October
Country (to name but a few).

A quick thanks to Jamie and others for bringing up the DVD "The Old Grey
Whistle Test". I've been watching it lately and it's great fun. Quick
thoughts: Elton John is so great singing "Tiny Dancer". So cool to see Bob
Marley and the Wailers, youthful and so talented. Roxy Music is just a
frickin gas! To my TOTAL surprise I got a huge kick out of Edgar Winter
jamming away. I was even reminded of the greatness of Bruce per the out of
studio shoot of him in concert. XTC is even here!! So many more.
These are interesting in part, per they are filmed in front on a camera
and not an audience. I honestly thought the only somewhat disappointing
performance is Iggy Pop. He seems a bit forced. Which leads me to believe
Iggy needs to feed off the audience to truly ratchet up the insane rock and
roll in his soul. Anyway, two thumbs way up.

Best, Steve D.
NP: Roxy Music's "Street Life" and "Mother of Pearl" (so fun to hear these
again)

Wondering out loud...
Why is it that I love soft pop, even crooner types (Scott Walker) but tend
to dig the rockier side of Roxy Music more then the ballads? Hmmmmm.....
