Just a thank you to Kerry Kompost for leading me to the Steve Stanley and
the Now People release"The Last Great 20th Century Love Affair'.As was
stated ,it is filled with pop surprises.Two big highlights are "A new life
for us " which is a touch of Bacharach and the charming "Buzzin By".Also a
first class cover of "Town without Pity" with a classy ending.Seek it out
pop fanatics.
Steve is one of the producers of the recent Rev-Ola re-issue of Bergen
White-"For Women Only".If you like Jimmy Webb this is a must.Steve also
wrote the liner notes.For lover of lost pop masterpieces[and what a year
it's been] this is worth finding.
