I just found out from Entertainment Weekly that Doug Bennett of Doug and
the Slugs died on Oct. 15th. Cognac and Bologna is one of my all-time
favorite albums. When I found it on CD, I did a happy dance that my
family still ridicules me about, but I didn't (and don't) care because I
was so overjoyed to finally have it on CD.
Doug had a great rock and roll voice, and it's a sad, sad thing that it
is silenced.
