I heard it too, but IMO Stern's emotions about Powell & the FCC fines
kept him from being at his best. His points were all over the map, and
Powell is right about this not being a demo vs. repub issue - it's
the USA puritanism (character armor) in all its ugly glory.
You could really hear the pain & frustration in Stern's voice. Say what
you will about his content (mostly not my cop-o-tea), but Stern is a
true believer about his profession, radio.
