Its a classic.  He calls that and Field Day his "young" albums; they have a
sort of youthful freshness (despite their retro sound) that is difficult to
simulate.  To this day (and I've seen him a good 50 times, since the tour
for the first) Crenshaw can be counted on to perform a song or 3 from his
first album; the only one you can say that about.

I remember at about that time ('82, '83)  reading an article where the
author made the Buddy Holly comparison but noted that there was a comparison
in how they play guitar.

Play Holly's "Everyday' and Crenshaw's "Cynical Girl" back to back.
