Hi all.
John Micek from Milkshake Jones here.
I know it's short notice but I wanted to invite PA regional Auditeers to a very special show on Friday, 11/5/04 here in scenic Harrisburg, Pa.
That night, we'll be playing one of our biggest shows of the year (outside IPO Philly, natch) at the lovely Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in downtown Harrisburg. It's a triple bill featuring us and our good friends The April Skies (http://wwwtheaprilskies.com) and singer/songwriter Sara B. Simpson.
Showtime for this all-ages performace is 8 p.m., so feel free to bring the family along. Tickets are an obscenely cheap $8 and are available by calling 717-214-ARTS or $10 on the day of the show.
I know I'll be looking to blow off some post-Election Day steam. And what better way to do it than by supporting some great Pop Music?
For those of you unfamiliar with our work, Milkshake Jones put out its first CD on The Paisley Pop Label back in April of this year. The very wise folks at the AllMusic Guide said of us, "Here in the 21st century, there are still bands out there playing Byrds-influenced powerpop ... and that's not a bad thing at all."
