Dave:

I would NOT use Windex. It has ammonia (a caustic substance; which is great 
for cleaning clear glass and mirrors). Windex could do long term damage and 
possibly de-laminate the CD. I use mild soap diluted with water. Wipe the CD from 
the center hole to the edge. Do NOT wipe the CD radially like an LP. You have 
a chance of increasing scratches along the pit (data area) direction. I "dry" 
the CD in the same direction with a soft cotton dish towel. Works every time.
