I just heard about this this afternoon. What a lame thing to have happen.
Here's the email that I just received from Jonathan Segel, regarding
the detail of the Camper Van Beethoven stolen equipment:

Musical gear stolen in Montreal. Please post search for this gear if
it crosses the border!
camper van Beethoven played last night at the cabaret music hall in
Montreal, gear was stolen from the trailer in the lot by the hotel
lord berri.
fender sunburst stratocaster electric guitar(1971) in case 334xxx
(unknown last three numbers)
chandler telecaster electric guitar (sunburst)
2 ibanez acoustic guitars
ibanez classical guitar
charvel surfcaster electric guitar (green)
ibanez talman electric guitar (orange)
fender stratocaster electric guitar- (black) eric clapton model
danelectro convertible electric guitar (burgundy)
gibson SG "I" electric guitar (red) 90157668
boss sp-303 dr sample #BR20964
2 sansamp bass driver boxes
fender precision bass guitar(white) V138713 (1962 reissue)
fender natural finish precision bass guitar (~1970) serial number
330181 in flight case (fulltone bass drive #1117 and boss tuner in
case)
saga cremona violin 1985 with stickers all over it.
plus blue carbon fiber bow in case.
