Sorry about your luck.

Sam Roberts is pop-based electric folk -- in fact, he strikes some very 
melodic similarities to Tom Hooper of Grapes Of Wrath. He's got two albums 
out on Universal/Maple Music (though, I think one is only the length of an 
EP).

The Tragically Hip....well, I wouldn't cross the street to see them
