As the English say, I think they're past their sell-by date. Maybe they
should have taken a cue from Led Zep and quit when the Bonham did instead of
going the Who-route, plodding along after Moon checked out.
I saw some of the recent footage of them with Springsteen during the
anti-Bush concerts. It was kinda sad to see Stipe playing rock star for the
cameras. At this rate, they'll be playing the casino circuit, flogging 25th
anniversary reunion t-shirts and opening for Styx before Kerry's first term
is up.
