Don't know how many of you got into Nina Gordon's (ex-Veruca Salt singer and
guitarist) 2003 solo album, Tonight And The Rest Of my Life, but if you did,
I got a record for you-----

Lisa Loeb's new disc (August 2004), The Way It Really Is, is a dead ringer
for Nina and the songs are beautiful, stripped down pop melodies (get past
the first track and you're good to go). Although it doesn't break new
ground, The way It Really Is finds Loeb maturing into a really solid pop
groove. Intelligent songwriting and very well played. This'll be top 5 for
me this year, fer sure.

Best, Rick
