I guess Im on the other side of the fence where I feel that some classic
recordings that already sound great need to be left alone. Many new remixes
have left me down, wishing I was in the studio smacking whoever was mixing it
with a Nerf bat when it didnt sound "right". (leave that Digital Delay OFF, Mr
Talmy!)

And it upsets me a younger generation will hear these remixes first, and
ignore
the mono versions. I grew up on FM Oldies radio in the 70's and heard
(memorized) most 50's-60's classic oldies in stereo. When I started collecting
the original mono singles and LP's in the 80's and 90's it was shocking to
hear
that many mono mixes were drastically better than the stereo.

I just hope we dont get any more "Let It Be...Naked" where everything is fed
through Pro Tools and "fixed".
