For once I agree with Bob Segarini (how come I almost
always type "Bob Seger" instead of "Segarini"?): the
Beatles catalog needs to be totally revamped,
completely updated with the latest in 5.1
surround-sound mixes, digital reverbs added,
additional new effects processing implemented (think
of "She Said, She Said" brought up to date with modern
electronica elements!), pitch/speed correction,
auto-tune (some of those harmonies -- early and late
period -- are, franky, awful, at least to my
pitch-perfect ears), brand-new sequencing (think of
how much better "Sgt. Pepper" will be without the
absymal "Within You, Without Talent"), stupid/overtly
silly and dated segues deleted, etc. The Beatles
catalog sounds so terribly dated I almost can't stand
to listen to any of it.
Almost. :)
