Yup I attended my 2nd Sparklefest this year, all 3 nights. I had a total
blast . It was good to see everyone, Mike Nicholson Jeremy, Todd, Sherman,
Cliff, Mike Slawter, and lukers Rene and Dave Dietrich. I liked the new
club except for the funky bathrooms. The sinks were out in the open and
half the club could watch you while you were washing your hands....weird

Really good sets were put on by The Saving Graces, The Grip Weeds< Walter
Clevenger, Cliff Hillis, Eugene Edwards, Jeremy, Dipsomanics,
Stratocruiser, Terry Anderson.

Some bands who I hadn't heard of before but really enjoyed were: Jane
Francis accompanied by the dancing skeletons (quite entertaining), Poor
Valentino, Adam McIntyre, The Rachel Nevadas, The Breaks, Let's Get Mikey

My least favorite act was Chris Stamey. My opinion of this is quite
different than Sherman's. The man would be much better off having someone
else sing his songs. Plus they had the second to last slot and were fairly
mellow so after an evening of very rocking lively bands I just couldn't get
into it.

I second that. Also thanks to Mike's wife Anna, Mike Slawter and everyone
else on Sparklefest staff who put in so much effort to make this festival a
success

Cliff, Rene and Ed. The club was excellent, with a great sound system.
Downtown Raleigh is a ghost town on weekends, the hotel was happy to have
our business.

Ya, on Sunday morning we drove around for quite some time trying to find a
place to have breakfast. We finally ended up at IHOP. I think it was the
ONLY place open. I did have dinner at place that has the best candied
yams......yum! and found I the Flying Saucer which haa over 50 beers on
tap.

Now I just have a ton of cd's to tackle.
