BTW the original article which started this thread reads to me like a
misquote of something else I read recently, where Brian in almost
exactly the same words said he would *like* to work with McCartney,
and then went on to say he was working on a new rock album. So it may
be happening, but don't get your hopes up.
(To be honest, though, I wouldn't want to see BW and McCartney work
together - they're both strong and weak in approximately the same
areas, so the end result wouldn't be anything either man couldn't do
on his own).
