Both my kids have been subjected to various versions of "Smile" over the
years as well as the Beach Boys records containing parts thereof. Hence
there was little surprise. My 16-year-old (currently) alternates
between Dave Matthews and Jazz Messengers-style jazz, so he pretty much
hated it. My 13-year-old (currently) alternates between Nelly and
Oasis, so he absolutely hated it.
