I really agree with Stewart here, this is not only consistently good, but I
think the writing brings them to a new level of songcraft.  I know a lot of
their "fans" with not happy with their last cd "Warning" which saw the band
using some Kinks-like sounds and generally mellower vibe.  I found it a
welcome advance and "American Idiot" may well be their "Rubber Soul"...:)
