Hey Gene.

Folk Years is a kind of Odds'n'Sods, "between-albums" album. Very low key
production. Just Jill, with a few overdubs and guest players in places. It
does have her really heartfelt version of Destiny's Child's "Survivor" on
it, which is almost worth the price of admission alone. Also the
brilliantly funny "War Correspondent in Love," and the Zevon cover/tribute
"Don't Let Us Get Sick." I guess my bottom line take is that the songs are
good, but that it doesn't flow like some of her others; correctable via CD
programming of course.

One or two pop up in revised (more produced) form on her new album. If you
have neither and are considering one or the other, I'd probably go with
Underdog Victorious.
