I listened to WNEW-FM quite often in the late '70s, and I remember Scott
Muni and Vin Scelsa particularly well. In the early '80s I got to hear an
air check of Scott Muni from WABC, circa 1964. It cracked me up because his
manic delivery, which was typical of the AM Radio jock of the time, was in
stark contrast to his laid back, ultra serious FM style. I can still
remember him doing a promo for a Beatle photo giveaway, with him screaming
"THAT'S BEATLE PICTURE!!!".
I guess you had to be there. :-)
