Imagination was one of my favorite albums in the year of its release
(whenever it was; what a drag it is gettin' old). The slick production was
off-putting--I kept expecting Whitney Houston to pop up and declare that she was saving
all her love for Brian--but the tunes were great. In addition to the ones
John mentioned, I quite liked "She Says She Needs Me," and wouldn't be at all
upset if Brian's current band added it to their set list.

Ha! Summer of '88, right? Came out right before my first trip to visit
friends in Key West, and my wife latched on to it. And we saw The Beach Boys at
the end of that summer, so it's linked with a wonderful concert memory. Can't
say I've ever been crazy about it, but I've never disliked it, and I'll sing
along with it if no one's looking my way.
