It is my pleasure to announce that New Wave pioneers The Cars will get the tribute treatment this November on “Substitution Mass Confusion - A Tribute To The Cars”.  The CD will be released by indie label Not Lame Recordings.  Among those taking the wheel for the tribute are Butch Walker, Jason Falkner, Jon Auer (The Posies),  Damone, Bleu, Owsley, and Action Action.  A portion of the proceeds from the CD will be donated to The American Cancer Society in memory of Cars’ bassist Benjamin Orr, who passed away from the disease in 2000.

I'd like to thank all of the artists who took the time and effort to contribute to this CD.  20 out of the 21 songs were recorded specifically for this project.  We have some amazing versions of these songs.  I couldn't be prouder or happier.  

I'd also like to thank Bruce Brodeen for making all of this possible.  He had faith in a crazy dream and helped bring it to fruition.
