L'il Beethoven - Sparks Just buy it.
@@Agreed....!!! This one has been praised by many on this list.
He also mentioned:
Archives - Jimmy Webb
@@@(Webb is someone I own nothing by but feel I have been negligent
not to. Any suggestions???)
Tilt - Scott Walker
@@@@Hmmmm, agreed but it's 7-8 years old isn't it? But, cool! I
think I can now count at least 4 people (including me) on this list
who like love this disc! Welcome to HELL!!! ;)
I really love this disc but I don't think one should rush out and buy
this with out this warning that it's not "exactly" power pop!! :)
But big news below (from another list) for the 4 plus curious about
his current work and since Scott Walker's output has been about one
disc decade since 1980.
From another post via a French paper Les inrockuptibles :
The announced return of Scott Walker
The label 4AD announced their future 2005 releases, including the
great
Scott Walker. Walker, who left Mercury last year, would already be
working on it. The rumors make state of a coproduction between Walker
and Peter Walsh, whom he worked with on Climate of Hunter (1984). The
participation of Elisabeth Frazer (Cocteau Twins) would also be
expected.
Best Steve D.
