506 sounds great these days. New management that does not dabble in, uh, sales.
Todd & Dave are super pros. No dressing rooms or other facilties, but
they are a liquor bar.
The Cradle is a fine place to play but mainly books established
touring acts. Great gig if you can get it. Kemp is a great sound man.
Monitors to die for. Loud & proud. Great dressing rooms. The Cradle
is no liquor and no smoking, beer only.
There are some great places in Raleigh, Martin St. Music Hall, Kings,
Berkeley Cafe, Lincoln Theatre and a couple more. Durham has Ooh La
Latte, a coffe shop that is a good sized rock venue at night. I
haven't played there yet, but we have a show on the books for
November.
The Garage in Winston-Salem is nice too. Small, but homey, with good sound.
Any Audities bands that wanna come thru here, I will help you get a
gig wherever I can.
Mike
