I listened to some snippets of the new version and I must say I'm
pleased how good it is. I am looking forward to sitting down with the
proper release. Must say you can tell it's Brain and not the Beach Boys
singing. There is a certain richness to those voices when blended
together. Still it sounds a million miles better than the two live
albums. I found those to be a little shrill. I mean performance wise. It
seemed like the band was trying too hard. I've got loads Smile boots,
which do make for good listening as long as you know that it's
unfinished and unedited. Hard to say how the new one will be received by
the general public.... probably better than Let It Be, Naked!!
