Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that the next IPO Presents showcase will be held Thursday,
September 16 at The Scene in Glendale. Here's the lineup:

8:30 Andy Zipf: He's here all the way from Virginia, armed with his guitar,
some subtle sound effects (organic, not obnoxious), and some beautiful,
heart-tugging songs of lonliness and redemption in the mold of past torch
bearers as Elliott Smith. You can also hear these tunes on his CD, I Stole
The Morning Sun. www.andyzipf.com

9:15 Dream School Diary: They've been described as "The Brady Kids with
attitude meets Soul Train"! Intriguing? I thought so, and you can be sure
that they'll raise both the camp and melodic factors to pleasurable levels
at their shows, and on their brand new CD, Bitter Lite!

10:00 Stellar: This cool, indie-rock quintet from Orange County has two
songs in the movie, Slammed! Their music on their brand new CD, Drown The
Sun, is a smart mix of excellent vocal ranges, emotional overtones and high
energy moods. www.thebandstellar.com

10:45 Caroline No: A garage pop trio from suburban California whose
completely original sound draws influences from The Beatles and The Beach
Boys to Cheap Trick and The Knack. Solid rhythms and melody provide the
backdrop for luscious vocal harmonies, while their raw energy creates a
beautifully contrasting edge. www.carolineno.com

11:30 Peachfuzz: A truly wonderful band whose exciting Guided By Voices
influenced garage sound never fails to please on their great Dionysus
Records CD, About A Bird. For this show the band welcomes back their
original bass player Ken Lemere, all the way from Minneapolis, and this
performance will be his first with the band in four years!

Admission for the show is $5. The Scene is located at 806 East Colorado St.
in Glendale, and is a 21+ club. Their phone is 818 241-7029, and their
website is www.thescenebar.com.

We hope to see you there!

Thanks,

David
