Don certainly makes a thoughtful, thorough, and compelling argument in his
post, which I have not reproduced here in its entirety for space
considerations.

Though I probably shouldn't speculate upon something I really have no direct
knowledge of, my feeling is that, ironically enough, it's *because* he's a
real Raspberry that they are not asking him. My guess is that whoever is
the decision making body has determined that they would like to have the
foursome that propelled Raspberries to fame be the configuration that
represents the band at these reunion shows. I don't think it's ever been a
matter of anyone thinking Scott (or Michael McBride, for that matter) is not
worthy of being a part of the ensemble. Perhaps in the minds of the
organizers, non-descript background musicians and vocalists wouldn't do
anything to compromise the integrity of what is inarguably the best-known
lineup, but that one of the successors to that lineup could do so. I may
not feel the same if I were organizing these shows, and as a fan I would
surely love to see Scott up there with the rest of the Berries, but I can
certainly see where they're coming from with their decision.

Of course, given that I'm not privy to the inner dialogues and mechanisms
pertaining to the show my speculations could be as off base as one of Rickey
Henderson's leads, but that's my gut feeling.

David
