So, perhaps I was assuming too much that this $100
Jeff has could only be spent at a larger chain store.
Perhaps, as was so kindly pointed out to me, it is for
Amoeba or someplace like that? Well, that shouldn't
be too hard then!
Here are a few things, not necessarily from this
month, but I have been digging them recently:
Velvet Crush "Stereo Blues" please...this is great.
just get it.
The Bees "Free The Bees" (UK import, but WORTH EVERY
PENNY. If only for the song "Chicken Payback" for
which John Borack and I have invented a dance.) (note
to self, no more margaritas with John Borack while
sitting under paintings of Elvis.)
The Killers "Hot Fuss" Jeff...I know you dig the New
Wave. You prob. have this at your radio station, but
man...it's a helluva lot of fun if you haven't heard
it yet. It's the 80's sounds of tomorrow, made fresh
by the cute boys of today.
"Future Soundtrack for America" Ms. Lennon brought
this up a few days back, but it's really one awesome
compilation of unreleased stuff by bands like OK GO
and Fountains of Wayne. check it.
The Get Up Kids "Guilt Show" I just recently got into
this, even though it's been out for a while. KILLER
HOOKS. One of my top cds right now.
there's more, but my cat has the runs, so I better go.
