Tune in Sunday morning, September 12th, to Jim Hurcomb's "Middle Aged Bald
Guys" radio show on Ottawa's www.cfra.com between 7AM and 9AM to hear Greg
Godovitz espouse the benefits of pajama bottoms, receding foreheads and his
forthcoming "Up Close & Uncomfortable" DVD.
Mr. Godovitz celebrates 40 years as a Canadian music "idle" having been a
member of Fludd, Goddo, The Carpet Frogs and The Anger Brothers. "Up Close &
Uncomfortable" chronicles the road stories and songs which were prominently
exposed in his book of three years ago 'Travels With My Amp'.
"He's a self-effacing hoot-a-minute. A man, a guitar, a really big mouth!"
-- Gordo Fry, CITI FM, Winnipeg
"Goddo (Greg) is my man. A legend, and proved that to be a real rock star
you can still be from Canada!! Great music, even better stories and one hell
of a nice guy!
-- Steve Lukather, TOTO
"I think it is one of the coolest books I have ever read! I truly enjoyed
the history of 'Fludd' & learning about Ontario's music scene (before I was
a part of it). I found the book IMMENSELY well- written & 'read-able' , I
actually could not put it down from the time I got it to the time I finished
it."
-- Sebastian Bach, SKID ROW
"Greg's a wild man. I didn't think anyone could have done as much as he has
and still lived to tell the tale. And I thought I lived a wild life!
-- Johnny Winter
