I remember hearing some older folkie tell the story about performers being
"Baezed" back in the 60s. If Joan was in the audience during someone's
performance in some little Village folk club and she liked the music, she
would start "harmonizing" from her seat with her inimitable shrill
relentless vibrato until all attention was placed on her and the on stage
performer was all but drowned out.
