Hi Everyone,

Yes indeed, the next International Pop Overthrow Presents showcase is
happening on Saturday, September 11 at Fais Do Do! Here's the lineup:

8:30 The Trainwrecks: The band led by Piper Downs’ guitarist Garner Knutson;
they’ve got a powerful, melodic rock sound that fans of both The Piper Downs
and more traditional power pop will love! www.thetrainwrecks.com

9:15 Joel Martin (of The Plus Side): The irrespresible Mr. Martin, main man
of The Plus Side, has consented to do a rare solo performance for us!
Everything he touches turns to melodic gold, as The Plus Side's peformance
at the IPO festival in July so eloquently attested.

10:00 Puddy Tat: A provocative featuring Jason Dean, an excellent
singer/songwriter who adds soul and passion to everything he does, and Andy
Creighton, who is the leader of The World Record. Puddy Tat is not shy
about expressing their viewpoints, particularly those of a political nature,
so be prepared!

10:45 MiGGs: This San Francisco combo isn't short on confidence or talent,
and they never fail to pack ‘em in no matter where they play! Their CD,
Anyway, is quite an eclectic lot, bass player Mark Baker cites influences
like Cheap Trick, Queen, The Beatles, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, and Al Green!

11:30 The Syrups: One of the tightest, most professional bands in Los
Angeles led by the irrepressibly dynamic Orion Walton. Their self-titled CD
is resplendent in sparkling Everly Brothers harmonies, with a little Squeeze
and Elvis Costello thrown in for taste! The Syrups CD is produced by the
legendary Abbey Road helmsman, Geoff Emerick! www.thesyrups.com

Blvd. in Los Angeles. Their phone is 323 954-8080 and website is
