There's also:
Seduction Of The Innocent, the comics supergroup featuring Max Collins, Steve Leialoha and Billy Mumy
Peter Blegvad
Joe Quesada (he's moonlighting in a band)
22 Brides (great band that had a comic done about them by Mr. Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti)
Alan Moore???

I'm really pumped about being involved with Not Lame's comic book themed
tribute. There really are no details to announce yet, but since I've
been getting a few e-mails about it, I think it's a good time to tell
you a bit about my vision for this project.
Having been an Auditieer for several years, I've noticed how much
crossover there is between the specialty markets of comics and power
pop. When I mention comics on the Audities' list, there are many current
and/or latent fans chiming in. It's the same when I start talking power
pop with comic fans. So maybe it's just a Reese's style ploy, but I want
to take two great things and make them greater together.
The comic book tribute cd will feature some cool cover tunes. When you
look at the power pop oriented bands that have comics-related songs---
including the Kinks, XTC, McCartney & Wings, etc--- it just hit me that
a good way to take indie power pop to the comics market is by way of a
"tribute" cd featuring some of the great talent we talk about here on
the list everyday.
But I'd love to creatively take it a leap further. I'm hoping to have
some original songs on the cd from some comics-loving power pop acts.
Doesn't matter really if that means the song is about a character or
about being a comics fanatic---it just has to hit home about comics and
those of us who are into them.
I'm not sure how Bruce and I are going to handle which pop performers
get on the cd and which ones don't---that's new territory for me. What I
hope happens is that we get so many great songs to use (both covers and
originals) that we have to make tough choices to make it a totally
outstanding project.
If you want to send me samples of your songs, I'm up for that. But
please do it understanding there are no promises other than trying to
make this something very special that will bring new ears to your music
and new eyes to comics.
