Well, Jack Logan and Jeffrey Lewis have both done comics as well as their
albums, and of course Peter Bagge and Eric Reynolds had their short-lived
but really rather marvelous band the Action Suits, and New Pornographers
keyboardist Blaine Thurier used to do comics, although now he's devoting
himself to writing and directing movies: I plan on seeing his second
feature, MALE FANTASY, in a couple weeks at the Toronto International Film
Festival, where I saw his debut film, LOW SELF-ESTEEM GIRL, a couple years
ago.
