I saw it too! 
My take was kind of his having an amiable enthusiasm about this yet a 
discomfort with the whole thing (given the nature of their break up). 
But, I've never seen him interviewed before, so I got nothing else to 
base this on beyond this perception.  As far as bloated, it looked 
more like a typical middle age spread to me.

Regarding singing at shows..
I do sometimes but quietly. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's ears. My 
thought's are it's all about context and perceived intent.  When I 
last saw FOW these two intoxicated females kept signing loudly to be 
seen and heard. They sang over a very quite song at full volume. When 
it seems more about "see me" then it does joining in...yes, I find it 
annoying.
