West here! Plus, I was at their first New York show way back when!)
They actually sounded pretty darn good last night! But...where has
Nick's mind gone?? Was it just me, or has Nick just gotten weird??
I saw it too!
My take was kind of his having an amiable enthusiasm about this yet a
discomfort with the whole thing (given the nature of their break up).
But, I've never seen him interviewed before, so I got nothing else to
base this on beyond this perception. As far as bloated, it looked
more like a typical middle age spread to me.
Regarding singing at shows..
I do sometimes but quietly. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's ears. My
thought's are it's all about context and perceived intent. When I
last saw FOW these two intoxicated females kept signing loudly to be
seen and heard. They sang over a very quite song at full volume. When
it seems more about "see me" then it does joining in...yes, I find it
annoying.
