Have to side with the Eytan on this, at least when you are talking about
acoustic shows. My wife and I saw Simon and Garfunkel last year and the
woman next to us was singing her heart out to every song.(she kind of had a
joni mitchell style to her voice actually)Many of the songs were very quiet
acoustic numbers and we often had to try our best to shut out her voice. Her
voice was actually very nice (I quite like the real Joni's voice) but I'm
sure that was why she thought we would appreciate it.....Sorry, I think it
is just rude and presumptuous and extremely annoying to sing out loud at
this type of show or at least during numbers where the volume is low. I do
think that there is a time and place...like hey, in your car, at you home...
A louder show where your voice does not directly interfere or dorwon out the
artist is also cool...Not against being taken away by the music...I just
think that you have to consider others.
