overlooked again :(

note: sunday Oct 24 will see not only Dave Rave (Bullseye / Bongo
Beat artiste) close the back stage (big stage) show, but yours truly
in a shared set with Kimberley Rew and also a set by Anton Barbeau
(Bongo Beat / Pink Hedgehog Records).

Will everyone clamber onto Dave's set? you bet! I'm sure we'll be
pulling out our tour tested "Let's Shake"
end of set rave-up :)

If you are a Kimberley Rew fan, this is your only chance to see him
perform solo
as he previews his new cd, Essex Hideaway, due in October
(pre-orders) and November (street date).
In theory, we should have copies for sale in Liverpool :)

I will be doing some tunes from my Olympia 66 cd + brand new pop just for IPO
http://www.theorchard.com/artists/album.php?upc=669910583128

Notoriously shy about performing solo, please come out and show
Kimberley the jangle love!! so
he will play more!!!

In the meantime.... check out The Preluders - all girl german "pop"
band do "walking on sunshine"
in a cheese video that's a bit of an homage to old vinyl....

------------hype below -----------------

NOW OUT ON BONGO BEAT!

- Andy Creeggan, "Andiwork II" - solo instrumental cd from
ex-Barenaked Ladies keyboardist, very
laid back semi-classical, jazz, and orchestral moods. Perfect
background textures. Kinda like those old 50s "mood" lps (ie not a
bad make out record)

- Lauren Agnelli, "Love Always Follows Me" - her debut solo cd, kinda
Francoise hardy meets Nico with
The Left Banke in tow....uh... i'm serious!

- Lola Dutronic, "The World Of Lola Dutronic" - very cool downtempo
electronic covers of 60s French pop songs by Brigitte Bardot,
Francoise Hardy plus "Porpoise Song" (Monkees) and more.... very
cool!!! Sung in french in that little girl wispy Claudine Longet
voice we all like.... except the Porpoise Song which is sung in
English and surprisingly well suited to this kind of treatment - who
knew? oh... and "To Sir With Love" (gotta have that)...

AND OF COURSE!! THE BONGO BEAT AUDITIES SPECIAL:

Get all three for $30 postage paid. All cds are in stock now. Paypal
to: ralph@bongobeat.com

One cd is $12 post-paid.

Reviewers and such - you know the drill :)

COMING OCT 5: Johnny Dowd, "Cemetery Shoes" - digipak + bonus video
not on the import versions
On certain moons circling Jupiter, this would be considered pop.

you can pre-order this as above - i will have stock later this week.

lots more to come.....
