Count me in on a Steely Dan trib - Barrytown. Or maybe Rikki Don't Lose
That Number? Or maybe Bodhissatva? The list goes on...

I would also dig a Doobies trib. I like power pop tributes that feature the
songs of artists that are not power pop, but pop enough to translate well.
Or by early pop/power pop bands that have a lot of songs that were either
performed and or recorded a bit on the "weak, wimpy" side, due to poor
recording technology or primitive playing. For instance, a lot of the
Hollies 60s stuff - truly GREAT tunes, vocals and harmonies, but to my ears
the recordings sound too tinny and thin, and the band at times lacks muscle.

Dave
(Currently enjoying the recent purchase of a two disc Hollies Greatest Hits
CD, despite the occasional gag on mistakes such as the misguided bouncy,
jolly cover of Dylan's classic Blowing in the Wind...)
