Heads up Ramones fans:
Just saw the Ramones "End of the Century" movie at the Edinburgh film
festival. I really enjoyed it, esp. the honesty in the interviews. There
is a lot of footage of the band's early days, some of it pretty funny. I
think any fan of the band should def. go see this if they get the chance
(even if just to see how Richie looks these days).
There is also a new DVD coming out soon: "Ramones: Raw", based on Marky's
home movie footage shot latterly in their career. It also features a half
hour concert made for Italian TV in 1980 and never aired since then + loads
of TV spots and stuff. There is an audio commentary by Johnny and Marky
too. I think it is officially endorsed by the band (or what is left of the
band).
