Agreed, in spades. For those of you who might not know, "You Took Me All the
Way" was Carmen's 1985 "rewrite" (yecccchhh) of "Go All the Way." It was
basically the same song, glossed up and minus anything resembling balls.
Carmen's defense was something along the lines of "the big, bad record company MADE
me do it." Way to stand up for those artistic principles, Eric!
Having said that, there are a few post-first solo album cuts of EC's that I
do enjoy, particularly the grand Phil Spector homage "It Hurts Too Much" from
the underrated TONIGHT YOU'RE MINE disc.
