I just rented it from Netflix and it was great to see. Almost ten years ago
I met Rodney at the Rock and Roll Denny's for photos to go with a story on
LA music. The R&R Hall of Fame was opening so I was dispatched to the city
with a reporter. Not from LA, I didn't really know who he was. We mentioned
that we were having trouble getting any Beach Boys to talk with us. Bruce
Johnston said yes and Mike Love said yes if we signed a release saying
nothing negative would be written about him.
Rodney said he'd just seen Brian Wilson at his birthday party where he had
received a jukebox and maybe we could tell Brian we wanted to see it. So
later that day we got a call from Brian inviting us to his house to see it.
One of the most memorable experiences ever and I owe it all to Rodney.
