you got it there. I used to listen to KYA late nights when they did the
"x-ray show", they'd leave the mic open over records and talk... I
worked for Tom Donahue and met some of those guys, Tony Bigg, Bobby Dale
etc. Did you ever watch Al Collin's morning tv show? It was one of the
weirder things I've ever seen on commercial television. Made a big
impression.
I can remember listening to the radio when I was very young, maybe 3 or
4. When we got a "hi-fi" with FM and short-wave, I used to just sit there
and dial around to see what I could hear. If I could only do what I do
now on the radio on a 100K clear channel station, late at night...ooheee
