Ya know, it just may be a fatal musical flaw, but I greatly admire and deliberately seek out new derivative stuff of stuff I like. I like a new twist on something that stomped on my solar plexus in the past.

Now I also seek out not derivative stuff of stuff I like, and even some dang original stuff unlike stuff I like.

But the majority of my thousands of CDs & LP could easily find influences traced to the likes of Beatles, Kinks, Costello, Bolan, Syd Barret Psych, Roky Erikson Psych, Derivative 80's Psych, Derivative 90's Psych, Derivative 00's Psych. Did I mention derivative of Nick Lowe, Badfinger, Beach Boys, Echo & the Bunnymen, Flamin Groovies, Shoes, Three Hour Tour, Kenny Howes, Klatau, Elvis, Jamie Vernon's SOTT 18 disc, Orion....

So yeah John, I'm with you on this one with the caveat that I'm also on audities to get pushed into horizon expansion as well.

And way to nail a thread to rival the Wal Mart one!
