OK, Bruce, you said to discuss....
I think this is really a vanilla vs. chocolate argument, but the fact that Eugene's disk is---to my ears anyway---so derivative, so "wholly un-original", that I simply can't enjoy it as much as you (and many others on this list) obviously do.   
That's fine.  I don't expect everyone to jump up and down over what floats my boat...which BTW, happens to be Scissor Sisters.
But I stand by my assessment of the disk.  Good...but not great.
