The chorus was the easiest part of the song to sing because it's in my
key.....and the "to the Seeea part" isn't the highest note....it's the lines
that follow it which are falsetto. The chorus gives you a running start up
to the high notes. A trick I use is to have reverb cycled through the
headphones while I'm singing which isn't printed to tape but gives you
enough live ambience to carry the notes while you're laying down the vocals.

What was harder was the first verse which is a bit lower than my natural
singing voice. And the tempo of the song is so slow that you run out of
breath before the last line (I have asthma)....had to punch those in.

What was harder to sing was "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime". Not in my
key and when I went to sing it straight I found that I'd go sharp because I
had a tendency to hit the opening of each line too hard. I had to almost
talk-sing it to nail the notes properly.

On "Unguarded Moment", I had sung this song live for 2 years live in a
previous band....but the day I went to do a rough vocal I had the start of a
viral bronchial infection....which turned out to my advantage because it
allowed me to hit those very low opening lines of each verse ("It's so
hard....finding inspiration...").

Anyway, I've got a bunch of sound clips of all this and some other new tunes
I've recorded for the follow-up album to "Broadcasts From The Twilight Zone"
which is tentatively titled 'Time Enough At Last' (which explains the above
three cover tunes....which all involve 'Time' as a theme).
