I've been listening to the new CD by LA singer/songwriter Seth Swirsky,
called "Instant Pleasure". Really good stuff, not unlike a more laid back
Jon Brion but often with more whimsical lyrics. He's also got some key
players on the album, including Andy Sturmer and Danny Wilde on background
vocals, as well as Phil Solem and John "Strawberry" Fields on various
instruments. Swirsky is also quite the renaissance man, having written
tunes for Al Green and Michael McDonald, along with three books compiling
various letters from major league baseball players!
