Wow, there are so many great songs on the four volumes, and so many good
memories of the then-fledgling indie power pop scene/community. Even though I was
good friends with Jordan, he was always mum about the contents of the YP
discs until after they were released. Some of my faves:

Mark Johnson - "I Like the World" (Vol.1)

The Cowsills - "Is It Any Wonder?" (Vol. 1) "The best popsong of the past
five years," I enthused to Jordan after hearing this one on a demo tape and
passing it on to him. Apparently he agreed enough to put it on YP.

Buddy Love - "Why Can't We Make Believe We're in Love?" (Vol. 1) Always
loved when Jordan threw in a rare "oldie."

Wanderlust - "I'm Not You" (Vol. 4)

Gigolo Aunts - "Weird Sister" (Vol. 3)

Parthenon Huxley - "Bazooka Joe" (Vol.2)
