The standards, MOR or "Mustic of Your Life" format has been dying out slowly
across of the USA. Its not poor ratings thats causing this, the problem is the
main audiance for standards (ages 65+) has now become too old for Advertisers
who lust after the 25-54 and 35-64 "demos" - so KPOP changed to a talk
format to
attract them. A lot of radio people predict Oldies and Classic Rock stations
will be having the same problem in the future as that audiance becomes too old
for them.
