Oh, no, Jaimie, don't get me wrong.. I completely agree with you. I've
worked on the periphery of the record industry (whether in retail or as part of
the press) for several years now and have seen this exact cycle myself. I was
really complaining more about the fact that this very rigid system exists at
all, and saying how much I enjoy labels like NotLame (even if they are, by
definition, small labels) that ignore most of it. --Jason
