IPO LA 04 is wrapping up its final weekend. On Friday night, Kenny Howe
demonstrated to be a true pro and kicked off the night at Molly Malone's
with a solo set featuring his famous "Christmas tree lane" guitar.
FOUR EYE'S Well rehearsed, brilliantly sequenced set got the crowd rushing
toward the stage. I couldn't help but think about the Spirit, My Rich
Uncle's, and the Bacchanal, three now-defunct, pop-friendly San Diego clubs
where Mark DeCerbo and company held court in the old days. It's great to
have them back...
THE SHAMBLES kept their track record of having played every IPO LA intact
with a riveting set that featured Jeremy and Cockeyed Ghost's Adam Marsland.
Shambles leader Bart Mendoza sat on the energetic STATIC HALO set that
followed.

Anyone on the list planning on going to the IPO Show
AUGUST 9 in San Franciso?
I still need a volunteer to run the Merchandise Table at
this show (Bottom of the Hill in SF). This is a fairly
straightforward job of selling CDs/merch and collecting
the money for each band selling their swag. Not only
do you get a guaranteed place to sit for the show,
